Pavan's a phenomenal athlete on the court and in the classroom, but she isn't God.

There is no denying Sarah Pavan is an amazing athlete and volleyball player. And I'm sure she is an awesome person off the court, but a players attitude also shapes an athlete. Not jus skill.
I too lost a bit of respect for her after last seasons championship with her poor show of sportsmanship.
Another poster mentioned that the reason she didn't shake hands is because she was emotional hurt or something like that. There is no excuse to not shake hands with your opponent and show good sportsmanship. Washington won the championship fare and square. They were jus the better team that nite.
A true champion and athlete shows good sportsmanship whether you win or lose not only when you win. You don't only win with dignity and class, it takes a true champion to lose with dignity and class.
I'm not hating on Pavan in anyway, it's jus attitude and sportsmanship shape an athlete not only skill.

Right now Pavan and the Huskers rule the collegiate volleyball world. Lover her or hate her, she's a champion.

To pick up on the first post.
What will you people do now?
You sat by your keyboard hoping to make Pavan eat her words (I won't let my team lose), but all you can do is sit their and pick your nose now.
Nebraska finally won a final four away from home, thereby killing another favourite thread for Nebraska haters.
John Cook coached a great match in the final, making all you Cook haters cringe.
The great PAC 10 teams that were supposed to dismantle the Huskers and prove the superiority of west coast volleyball fizzled. A team made up of a Canadian and a bunch of farm girls kicked the valley girls all over the court (twice).
The argument over who should be POY died a very quiet death on Thursday night. Only one stood above the rest.
The Big XII is not a very worthy conference, at least when you compare it to the power conferences such as the PAC 10 and the Big 10.
I know, wait until next year and the volleyball world will right itself. I can hardly wait.

As Chance's Fellow "Lunatic" I completely agree with everything he said. Him and i followed the Huskers all season since chance was unlike me (a cheap college student) and deciced to get Satelite TV. We turned into big fans and we have admired Pavan and Larson all season.
We are also very jealous of the passion that all the people of nebraska share for their vball team. We sometimes wish we had more followers here at UT and we try hard everyday to get to where Nebraska volleyball is at.
Congrats to Pavan, and all of the rest of the huskers!!

I think it's hilarious that the Vols fans have suddenly transformed themselves into Husker fans. Way to ride the bandwagon, posers!

I think it's hilarious that the Vols fans have suddenly transformed themselves into Husker fans. Way to ride the bandwagon, posers! Posers??? Is it wrong for someone to have multiple teams that they root for?? Are you only supposed to root for the college that you attend and thats it?? I mean, i can understand your case, where you are sssoo far away from, well civilization, that maybe you can only root for one team, because that is the only team you can actually see, but us over here on the mainlad can follow many many other teams. Also, there is no bandwagon being ridden, now that they won the NC. Chance and i were both on here saying that Nebraska would win the Championship as soon as the bracket came out, and that was even with the possibilty of our Lady Vols playing them in the sweet Sixteen. So you can take your "suddenly transformed" crap back.....
