Sarah Pavan "did not let her team lose."
Please stop complaining now.
File her under "Joe Namath / Mark Messier / Vince Young / etc..."
There is nothing left to rip this girl for.
There is nothing wrong with her awesome talent, there is nothing wrong with her smile or facial expressions, there is nothing wrong with her being confident, there is nothing wrong with her 4.0gpa, and there is nothing wrong with her brand new national championship ring. She is a straight up winner.
Thanks.
p.s. Jordan Larson is freaking awesome.

What a season! This was an amazing year of volleyball. Pavan was great, Larson was scary good, and the return of Houghtailing next season will make this team even better. I don't follow Husker V-Ball, but it was exciting watching them in the Final Four this year.

Today was the first I've seen the Huskers play, and they bang the ball from all positions, it's great to watch a team that clicks the way they do...it's just good volleyball. Great job Nebraska!

So just because she said she wouldn't let her team lose (like hundreds of athletes do each season...although she was one of the few who actually did back up what she said) and lived up to her word, we should jump on her bandwagon? No thanks. My opinion will NOT change on her, sorry but it won't happen. I have no problem with others liking her but I just never have and never will.

I enjoyed watching the Final Four and think Nebraska is scary good. The chemistry seems to be without a seam. Great going Huskers!

There is a difference between jumping on a bandwagon and stop hating on a person. Apparently, you don't know the difference.

But you like Mcginnis, and her attitude i'm sure. Pavan is a kid who is a perfectionist, and subsequently can try to hard, and takes failures very hard. Is it not possible that her not shaking hands last year is a function of being a little immature emotionally, and not being able to handle her failures? Why does it have to be malicious, calculated or being a bad kid on her part? This forum doesn't allow people to be human, especially young people still trying to figure it all out. As for PAvan's quote about not letting her team lose. Do you honestly think she was saying, " I am so good, that I personally will make sure we win, because i'm that good"? I am sure she was saying "I will make every sacrifice, and do everything in my power for this team to reach its goals.

That still don't change the fact that Nebraska won the National Champioships. I'm sad that my team didn't win the title but.....come on people, Nebraska won the title fair and square. Those girls played their hearts out.....that I respect....and they deserved that title. Congrats Huskers!

LOL at this because everyone on here uses examples of things she did and then gives an excuse for her when I never mentioned the incidents to which my opinion is based. That still don't change the fact that Nebraska won the National Champioships. I'm sad that my team didn't win the title but.....come on people, Nebraska won the title fair and square. Let's help him get his dead horse up on the table for its regular beating! And maybe, if we all save up our pennies, for Xmas we can send him on a course to learn some more magical html tags! *snort*
