I have not seen such a high level of volleyball in such a long time - from both teams at that. Maybe it's because I'm a Wahine fan and this year they have been very inconsistent, but todays match was really a great, class act from both teams. Watching them bang away and watching them dig some amazing heaters makes me appreciate what these girls have worked for. usually you'll see one team perform and the other underperform, but todays match was just entertaining from the get go.
Awesome job ladies!

It's most likely because of the color red in the unforms. It's the color of power. Cuba, China, Stanford, Nebraska.

Awesome job ladies! Completely agree. Watching the match live, I didn't really appreciate what I was watching because I was so damn nervous. But after watching the replay, I was just astounded at the overall high level of play by both teams throughout the match. So many great rallies that featured moster attack/eye-popping dig, rinse and repeat until someone finds a seam in the opposing defense or makes a momentum changing block. This is a match I'll gladly watch many times over. The excitment from the huge crowd just adds to everything. Such a memorable night.

OK, now let's look at these both teams for next season 2007...?
Nebraska: Christina Houghtelling 6'2 OH (2005 AVCA POY, first team AA) Jordan Larson 6'2 OH (2006 first team AA)...I like her better than Houghtelling Tracy Stalls 6'3 MB (2nd team AA 06) Cooper 6'2 MB (not mentioned) but she's good though. Sarah Pavan 6'5 OPP (2006 AVCA POY, 3x first teamer) Rachael Holloway 5'11 S (pretty tough setter....)
Stanford: Alix Klinemen 6'5 OH (the next dominant player in the game) Cynthia Barboza 6'1 OH (AA) Foluke Akinradewo 6'3 MB (I always thought she was better than Nana. AA) Franci Girard 6'2 MB (AA) Bryn Kehoe 5'11 S (I thought she was Hawaiian).AA Erin Waller 6'1 RS (She could be an AA)
Well what do you think...........finals again 2007?......Neb vs. Stan
