I believe 1995 team finished 32-1(I know just one loss). They had the great Allison Weston, first team AA setter Christy Johnson and another AA Lisa Reitsma. Very solid all around team, solid passing, great hitters and great setter.
2000 was 34-0, however that record is decieving considering how weak the 2000 season was. Cepero was their setter and was the national Player of the Year. Pilakowski was their goto hitter, and they had the nations best blocker in the middle in Holmquist. They also had Kropp who was a great blocker and overall they were a very strong team. A GREAT blocking team, so much height with Holmquist, Cepero, and Kropp.
2006 went 33-1 and won the title at home. Pavan is as good a lefty as I can remember, Larson is another AA and they had Stalls who's a great middle. Holloway was just a frosh but an AA frosh at that. Their main strength was their OH and RS hitting. Middles were very strong but nobody could contain the nations best 1-2 punch in Pavan and Larson.
My vote: 1995.
2000 won it undefeated, but was not as good as 1995. The quickness of Weston would be too much for 00 Nebraska, plus add in Reitsma who at 6-4 would just hit right over or right through the ball. Johnson was a better pure setter than Cepero, and I think that the overall team was stronger in 95 than 00...especially when your backup setter is Fiona Nepo(future 3x AA).
2006 vs. 1995...tough call. Pavan and Larson are clearly better OH than anybody on 95 squad has, but Johnson and Weston were both so good, plus they lost very early in the season and ran the table after that. I think that Weston would dominate against Nebraska's block. 95 team in a hard fought 4 game battle.
2006 was darn good and would give
