Did anyone watched the tryouts and who were the outstanding players?

I left before the tryouts happened, but I do know that the American Recht twins were in attendance. I heard that they are very fast learners and should be players to watch out for in the future. Good luck to them

The following was provided to me by a friend who attended the tryouts:
>Well, honestly, I thought they all looked pretty short. But I'm looking at >a couple of the girls bios to make sure I have the right name and I think >everyone just looked a lot shorter next to the Recht twins. For instance, >I had Masha Vaysburg at 6' or maybe 6'1, but Pacific lists her at 6'3" > >Also, I didn't have a roster so I'm taking educated guesses on who was >who. > >Clemson's Danille Hepburn showed a ton of athletic ability, probably the >most explosive girl I saw, but she is so thin - both ways, so her >shoulders aren't realy wide enough to block. > >I think it was Houston's Justine Farmer (#95) who was absolutly mashing >balls on the outside but I didn't see her do much else. One kid (#35) was >real fluid and fun to watch move...she had good positions, and deceptive >speed and power. I think it was Creightons Kelly Goc but not sure. I >figured she was a nice player but too short, but if it is Kelly Goc, she's >6'2" and though a middle now, she could probably be a nice outside. > >The evaluations consisted of a 5 on 5 drill with coaches chipping in free >balls, then they went to 2 6 on 6 scrimmages. Pingle, Jenny and Diane >French were sitting at desk at one end. Only pingle had as much as a >roster and Ping checked her watch a couple times. Then they let everyone >go about an hour and 15 minutes early. The volleyball wasn't spectacular. >Nobody was head and shoulders above the rest. Its possible they worked so >hard on Saturday that they just didn't have it when I got there, but from >what I saw I wouldn't bank on any of those players helping us medal in >something...of course, I thought Heather Bown would have been cut years >ago, I thought that Weaver and Hochever were going to be staples on the >national team for years, and I loved Sarah Norriega...so what the hell do >I know?
REMINDER: I WAS NOT THERE AND DON'T KNOW FOR SURE HOW IT WENT!
