Doesn't Long Beach lose Tuzinsky, Wooten and Lee? That's a tough trio to replace.

Doesn't Long Beach lose Tuzinsky, Wooten and Lee? That's a tough trio to replace. That is a tough trio to replace. But I think having Hildebrand around will be a tremendous advantage - he's an incredibly good setter. He's been kinda in the background as Wooten and Lee have been getting most of the attention, but I believe he'll be the centerpiece of next year's team.

There are some excellent liberos graduating this year. Adam Shrader (UCLA) Ryan Stuntz (Lewis) Doug English (CSUN) Ricky Mattei (Penn State)
Did I miss anyone?

Lewis loses Ryan, Fabiano, James , that's gonna leave a mark.
I'd have to say that while Shawn S is huge for Loyola, Shrek (and yes I mean that is a warm and fuzzy way) will make up for it. I think Loyola will be cruisin' next year all the way to the top 10 at least.

Doesn't UCI lose 1/2 their offense?

I actually don't think UCI is hurt very much... The remaining core of their team is still very strong and they will probably rely on Jablonsky to replace Pelzel next year, and with Webber already as good as he is their offense shouldn't be hurt too much. I also don't think Pelzel had as spectacular of a year this year as last...

that is true. irvine does have a lot of young talent who are capable of taking over for the seniors. from watching pelzel play during the hawaii matches, he did not seem to be as sharp as he was in previous years.

For the MIVA, it looks like this, IMHO:
Ohio State:
Mark Peckham (S) *key loss Adam Peterson (MH) *key loss
Loyola:
Mike Alesch (OH) *key loss Shawn Schroeder (MH) *key loss but they have Grunst
Ball State:
Keith Schunzel (S) *key loss Jary Delgado (OH) *key loss Amitai Sasson (MH, L, OH) *a loss Kenny Cook (MH) *non starter
Lewis:
Fabiano Baretto (Opp) *key loss Ryan Stuntz (L) *key loss James Elsea (MH) *big loss (he was injured so much of this year it was almost like not having him a lot of the time)
IPFW:
Isaac White (OH, L) *not a key contributor Dustin Sherman (L) *not a key contributor (IMO, these guy were important to the team but not in the way we are thinking)
IPFW for sure is hurt the least and after that, seems like it's a toss up. All of these other guys are pretty important to their teams offense or defense.
