You very well could be right, they certainly have the talent, but until Elliott actually pulls it off, and takes HIS team to the promise land, I'll keep my stance.

Ashley Engle is awesome. Also, it's "Christian" Thanks for fixing that. Really Well at least I cared enough to even put her name on the board in the first place!

Actually, I don't think home court is a big deal for Texas. In the past they have struggled with inconsistency no matter the venue. 2007 will be either Waterloo or Rubicon for Jerritt Elliott. Personally I think they have improved every year since he arrived, and they only missed out this year because of injuries. In 2007 I think they cross the Rubicon into Sacramento. I agree on both counts. I can't see any other team getting into the Elite 8 after loosing two starting AA MBs. We need to understand that Texas is a very young team. No other final 8 team had 3 freshmen on the floor consistently throughout the season. Youth and inexperience may have caused them a FF but I also think coaching may have had a hand in it. My thoughts and hopes are that we won't see those surprise loses to teams such as Oklahoma, Missouri, Cal Poly, Iowa State, etc of the past.

calhornfan are you expecting Texas to be perfect every year? Mizz did take Stanf to 5 and showed how well they can play, Oklahoma had an incredible year and was seeded in the tournament... Penn state loses to wisconsin in 3?? Washington gets buried in final four by stanf so are their fans screaming about youth and coaching? You may be right on youth but rally score does cause some loses and almost all teams have them . I would agree with youth and injuries to mb's and you should be very proud that team went to elite 8. I recall Texas in the slums and now they are close to be on top. Be happy with your youth and support the coach. know that sometimes loses do happen even to the best of them ie Neb to Colorado or Stanf to BYU.

I think you misunderstand critic. I'm more than happy in the direction that Jerritt is talking his team and with the final 8 result. I'm ELATED! The point I am trying to make is that there were very high expectations for this team in 06 by fans and folks on this message board. Expectations should have been readjusted once Magee and Armstrong were lost. Many teams/fans might have written off the season if they experienced the same loses with their team. I'm very well aware loses happen even to champions. I know how good Oklahoma, Cal Poly, Colorado and Mizzou are as I saw them in person. To get to that next level of being an elite team they must consistently close out and beat teams that they should.
I've been thru the ups & downs with Haley, Moore and Jerritt (did I just age myself). No matter I will always remain a loyal Horn and volleyball supporter/fan.

That is a great pornname. It's even better that she's at Texas and there slogan is "Hook'em Horns". The question really is, "Will she end up getting a National Championship?" In other words, "Is it her Destinee to be a Happy Hooker?"

A friend who is from Texas said this about Destiny when he saw her play: That's some high flying hookker, damn!
