For me, nice weather is secondary to atmosphere. So, even though I haven't been to all of these places, I think my vote would have to go to Madison. They know how to put on the show, and I can drive there if necessary.
Edit: if money is no object for a December trip, then Hawaii would be a close second for me because I would get both weather AND atmosphere. Now, how to pay for the trip... ;D

Madison, because I can drive there.
Honolulu, because if I'm going to travel, that's where I'd like to end up.
Athens, Ohio, just because.

Oh, Gawd...Athens, OH! From a MAC fan, trust me when I tell you.....you can't get there from here!!! They do have a nice arena.
I was at a FF a lot of years ago in Cleveland. The "Q" holds the MAC basketball tournaments (men and women) every year. Nice venue, kinda centrally located, and trust me when I tell you, won't be a home court for anyone any time soon!!

I think Minneapolis would be good, because I could drive there provided there was no blizzard. A nice city to visit as well, although December isn't the best time to go there.

If money were no barrier, anybody not choosing Honolulu would be strange indeed! I am strange, if money were limitless, I'd choose Vegas like baywatcher. But then, I'd miss the volleyball games. ;D

after seeing the show Omaha put on it's a no brainer for the sport, but I'll take a beach someplace anytime.
