Has anyone heard when the tickets for the 2007 FF will go on sale thru Ticketmaster?

Link went active the day before the Finals. www.ticketmaster.com/event/1C003D8C995E3ED6?artistid=1093448&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=204 Sac Sports Commission sent an email to all registered parties on their website on the day of the Semis, saying tix were on sale. They were not yet and everyone called them on the phone and hollered. They had to fix something or other. Link went active on Friday. The 800 # on their website for tix was still not working a couple weeks ago. Everyone I know who has bought, has used the online link. This is for Ticketmaster. They are the authorized sellers. They add some misc. process/sales fees to the upper bowl $35 and $45 lower bowl, and seat selection was not available at this time. Lower bowl tix with the extra fees came to $56. each. This total is for both days, so you get 3 matches for that total price. 2 Semis and 1 Final. These tix will be mailed. There is also a downloadable ticket form to mail in. On that , you can select your seat section.

Florida better make the Final Four next season. I had my plans all set up and then everything went bad. Now my plans are made again but hopefully I don't get overconfident again.

Depends on the Gator's draw. I think Florida might do well. If they get Penn St. (the chokers...) in the regional finals, they might have a chance to make the FF.
Stanford and Nebraska LOOK very formiddable and solid, along with Penn St., Texas, and Florida. Someone mentioned that other than Stanford and Nebraska, the other teams are playing for third. I might have to agree with that.

I might have to agree with that. I disagree. I think Penn St. and Texas both have very good chances for the National Championship. Certainly Nebraska and Stanford would be favored, but the talent Penn St. and Texas have will be formidable as well. Should make for some great volleyball matches!

Sent in a check for $185 for 4 tickets for both days with the Sacto form; objected inprinciple to paying the "administrative" fees + Ticketmaster fees (I live close enough that I could drive to the ticket office for what extra fees are). Sent the check in first or second date form wwas available; check is not cashed yet. Wonder if they will cash the ckeck at all, or just wait for months, then send me up to the rafters in the cheap seats? Interesting to find out later.

As I used the online link to buy with my debit card, my account was debited in a couple days. We'll see where my seats are. It says....first come, first served...but as the online form did not allow a choice, they could send me up to the rafters too. I may contact them mid year, and see if I can't influence that.
I would be VERy surprised if your check is not cashed by mid January. I got the distinct impression that the Sac Sports Commission is a small staffed group, and may not be working over the long Holidays....
I think the 'admin charges, etal' are dumb too, and just a way to make more money...but decided not to sweat it and just 'view' the tix as $56 for 3 matches, which is less than $20 each and so be happy with it.
I also think I got an email from someone called Mike when I was complaining that the link was not 'live' the first day. If I still have it, I may use it contact him in a few weeks, and find out about seat selection.

I actually didn't ask for "great" seats; I like to sit in the "end zone", so I put in for there, then a section that should be facing the left side outside hitter; so if they are processsing seats I should get what I asked for. I know i was thinking of driving up to Sacramento to save on admin fees, which were even added onto teh mail in tickets ( I think $8 each; takes $8 to locate a ticket and put in an envelope?) and be able to pick out the seats, but it may have been the box office wasn't open.

Ticketmaster is a predatory company that engages in price/fee gouging at every opportunity, but sadly we the people of the USA don't have any balls or sense of community left to collectively break the hold on our short hairs.

I don't buy tickets to many events any more; lots of extra money goes to my daughters club volleyball team. One reason I like to go to volleyball matches is the reasonable price. Do you have to get almost all tickets from Ticketmaster now for big events? Everytime I look into something they are omnipresent, with the gouging referred to above. I have stopped going to many pro events and concerts, and Ticketmaster is a big reason. ( Not only additional fees, but you don't know what tickets you will get.)

I drive up to the box window of the venue if I can possibly do so ahead of time, to avoid the online charges.

Get AngryAnd this excerpt from Wikipedia: "Ticketmaster has had only limited success in the secondary ticketing market. In September 2003, Ticketmaster announced plans to sell tickets in Internet auctions, which would bring the price of tickets closer to market prices, but its market share compared to that of ebay or stubhub.com remain small and internet auctions are still a relatively quiet part of its business. Indeed, since around the time of the 2003 announcement, Ticketmaster has lost the lead in the secondary ticketing market to new entrants like Stubhub, who've developed a popular and effective person to person market for tickets. Recently, Ticketmaster President Sean Moriarty appeared on a story about the ticketing business on NPR and pleaded for legislation that would make the selling of tickets from person to person illegal except through Ticketmaster's own product for this purpose."

I'm not sure that you can actually go to the Arco Arena box office right now and buy 2007 FF tickets. It sounds as if what they do by TicketMaster is thatt they collect the money and take the name/address. This would then be followed by seat assignment and shipping just before the FF. You might even be able to do this at the box office, but might not be able to get a physical ticket. I would suspect that they'll eventually have tickets available (and printable) for sale at the window a month or two before the FF. Anyone want to call Arco Arena and ask? I don't know how accurate this is, because they're still saying TicketMaster is available at Tower Records. www.arcoarena.com/default.asp?lnopt=1&pnopt=4

Sounds about right to me. For Long Beach i ordered tickets months before, then by the week before they hadn't mailed the tickets to me and I had to get them at will call. Tickets were in a horrible spot, too, raising the spectre that good seats went to friends. But did not go through Ticketmaster for that. Think it's time to write my congressman, with a new sherriff in town. Might attack the Ticketmaster monopoly.
