Just signed with Tema Santeramo in Italy. Same club as Willoughby. Looks like they are planning to use Livingstone (is that spelled right? Livingston?) as an opposite. I've never seen her in that role, but it's a role that has been weak for Santeramo this year. They were planning to use Willoughby there.
Santeramo is one of 4 teams tied in the middle of the standings. They are 1-3, having won 3-2 over Perugia, and lost 3-2 to Bergamo. They also lost 3-2 to one of the teams they are tied with - Padova, and 3-0 to Jesi. It will be very interesting if either Willoughby or Livingstone can get Santeramo into the top half of the standings
Current Standings: Teams earn 3 points for a 3-0 or 3-1 victory, 2 points for a 3-2 win and 1 point for a 2-3 loss.
Novara 12; Pesaro 11; Bergamo 11; Perugia 10; Jesi 9; Padova, Santeramo, Vicenza and Altamura all 4; Chieri 2; Forli' 1; Piacenza 0.

Livingston.
Can't believe she's from Simi Valley, CA. Ended up in Wisconsin.

How many subs do they have in the pros? Who is going to play back-row for her? Certainly Livingston isn't going to play back-row (if they want to move up in the standings.)

Remember that Livingston has played a lot of volleyball since she was at Wisconsin. She is probably a different player than you remember. I haven't seen her so I don't know for sure what she is capable of. As an opposite she probably won't be involved in receiving, and if she's a good enough hitter they'll live with a digging liability at right back.

Where does that leave Willoughby? On the bench? I've been wondering the same thing. Santeramo's lefts have been pretty good, but usually not outstanding. I am interested to see of Willoughby can beat one of them out. I suspect that she might. They play Chieri on the 30th.

Livingston is not very typical OPP (by international standards). She is very athletic high jumper, and her game reminds me of what people call "quick hitter" in mens vball. I have seen her hitting from both L and R while at UW but it was due to the the current situation (back in 2000 C Rodriguez and M Kohen got injured in postseason) and I wouldn't say these are her favorites. I got a chance to see her in some games from PR pro-league (2002/03 seasons) but she was playing MB there.

Sherisa is a very athletic, as you say, and very intense. She's very pleasant and a lot of fun off the court too.

She's very similar to Nana Meriweather.

Agree. Both hit the quick so well. I think Nana is a bit more dynamic and cagey, able to put the ball down even if it isn't set perfectly.

Is Nancy Metcalf playing on the same team as these two...? No Nancy is playing in Spain for the "superteam" Groupo 2002.

Sorry to sound a bit anal, but wasn't her last name actually spelled Livingston? (no "e" at the end.) You're right. Check the end of the first line and begining of the second line of the section you posted. The Italian press release spelled her name wrong and I just copied and pasted if for the title.
