Just so you guys know, there is another Canadian young lady that is being recruited just as, if not more than Becky Pavan. And she is 6'5 and can play defense. See this thread.

Not about Becky Pavan per se, but looks like quite a few schools are doing recruiting in Canada www.volleyballprospects.ca/content/view/125/1/Student athletes were equally impressed with the turnout of coaches and scouts from such outstanding volleyball programs as University of Hawaii, Oregon State, Arizona State, Penn State, University of Wisconsin, Kansas State, Colorado State, Texas A & M, Missouri State University, University of Colorado, University of New Hampshire, University of Iowa, Trinity Western University, University of Idaho and a host of other top Canadian and US institutions.

"...it looks like.." and "...the turnout of American scouts.." Hello!!! This has been the case for a long time and will continue to be so as long as Canadian schools have as little to offer player/athletes compared to the American offers. The Pavans are as aware of this as anyone so what chance do you think Becky has of ending up at a Canadian school? NO chance, take that to the bank and the same goes for most of the really BIG Canadian prospects.

Does Canada have a different alphabet? Those alphabetical lists of top prospects are kinda funky. And why are the players numbered?

I have to give credit to the coaches for making the trip to Calgary in the middle of winter, temperatures must be 20 below right now given the colder than normal temps in much of the midwest and northeast.

I have a very strong feeling that wisconsin is in the thick of this recruiting race. I have a very strong feeling that if someone just made up a player and asked which college she was going to attend, three people would say Minnesota and two would say Wisconsin. By the way, does anyone know what school Sidd Finch is leaning toward?

Seriously. I hear Pete's a distant cousin of Sidd's. It's in the bag.

Does anybody know who ACTUALLY is in this race? Actually as in not just speculation based on wishful thinking. Has she released any top finalists?
