Beth was demonstrating a backflip on a trampoline for her physical education class at La Pietra when she fell, her husband said. She broke her C6 vertebra, the sixth vertebra from the top of the neck, and suffered an "extreme concussion." The family received good news today, when Beth, who was "ambulatory and moving and cheerful," was given clearance to go home. Beth is a huge volleyball contributor to the state of Hawaii, as is her family. Best wishes in healing up, Beth.
