The Gopher spring play should be interesting to watch. With Cumpston and KBow gone others will be playing in positions we may not have seen them in before.
I have heard that Roehrig will be playing some back row and serving. Should be fun to watch.
Outsides are working both sides and KV may play some middle, especially on 4/22 when Jones will be gone.
Marci will probably come back to set on 4/22 as Hartmann will be gone as well.
That plus seeing how Roysland does makes me excited for the 3/31 event!

All this info that came out at the Golddiggers session is fascinating stuff (along with the hint about the now-apparently-confirmed middle for 2008). I can't wait, either.

I'll be in Florida.
Could someone put web cam in the Pavilion so I can watch the matches while I'm lubing myself with used 40 wt excessive amount of sunblock lotion?

It's hard to believe Kelly Bowman has completed her 4 years of eligibility. Just the other day, she was a high schooler. Oh, man...

Can anyone tell me what happened to the incredible athlete that Minnesota recruited from Tampa. I think her last name was Jackson and she touched almost 10'9. She hardly ever played and I think the staff felt like she might never get to the level they had hoped. She should still be on the roster.

That would be Dee Jackson. She was injured much of her time here and was never able to advance. My understanding is that she is on the team thru the end of the school year and then will be leaving. That is where the additional scholarship will come from.

This follower has no clue. She's supposedly here this weekend. I've learned to keep the expectations lowered.

2 questions for Ruffda - 1. Is Minnesota in session now, or is this spring break, and 2. Will the commitment from the other '08 middle from the US youth national team effect the recruitment of another middle in the same class, especially with Gibbemeyer arriving the year before?

This follower has no clue. She's supposedly here this weekend. I've learned to keep the expectations lowered. You are correct. I have no clue. Trying to find Volleyball info hasn't been the easiest search around the internet. Volleyball is treated as an afterthought sport. That's why i was glad to blunder into this board while searching for video on Alix Klineman. My hope is to get to know the ropes through this board. So, my question still stands. You people who are close to the Gophers program---How do you rate your chances at landing Becky Pavan?

I didn't mean _you_ had no clue. I meant _I_ had no clue.
ohiovalley, Pavan could play rightside just as easily as middle. I don't see where this other commitment -- announced where by the way? -- affects anything.
Purdue: Arthurs 07, Fisher 08 OSU: Dozier 06, Barhorst 08 Kentucky: 3 middles recruited for 07
Why single Minnesota out?
I don't know about whether school is in session. Sorry.
