Bearclause, you've been fairly quiet. What did you think of the performances at Sac State?

I thought Cal played fairly well. Definitely better than March at St Mary's where they looked really rusty. Early morning doesn't seem to be their best time, when they lost a game to USF. All of Cal's hitters seemed to have better form than a couple of weeks ago. Floor defense was more aggresive. Morgan Beck's high toss jump serve is getting more consistent. Not enough to tell exactly what things will be like next Fall, but they should be pretty good.
I'm not really that big on extrapolating Spring results into what will happen in the Fall. ;D

I didnt see Pacific @ Sac. St. But, we drive up to Stockton on the 7th. We watched them play Santa Clara and they looked really good. They won both games, appeared in control the entire time and looked like a different team than last year. We ran into a few other old time fans who were just giddy with the progress the team has made.
Anyone see how they did in Sacramento?

Does anyone have results from Saturday's tournament?

Does anyone have results from Saturday's tournament? Not full results. I just watched Cal. They lost two tight games against Pacific first thing in the morning - the first game was 32-30. I guess they're not morning people. Cal swept UCD, Sac St, and Nevada. I ended up losing $70 overall at the tables. Not enough that I had to sell my car. ;D

They certainly played with a bit more urgency than I remember two weeks ago. Still - trying to predict Fall results out of glorified practice scrimmages is nearly a worthless exercise. How they do next Fall will depend a lot on how good their recruits are and if they start.
