Which division did Baylor win?
How did USC finish?

USC lost to UNLV in the silver bracket. Baylor must have won the bronze bracket since Tulane won that pool (Tulane, USC, Baylor). Oklahoma must have won the Gold by defeating TCU, LSU, then I don't know for sure but it must have been New Mexico State (who looked very good).

It would be nice if the Tornados web site posted results and scores.Looking at the pools some of these teams had cake walks to the Gold Bracket like New Mexico State and Oklahoma.

Oklahoma beat Tulane in 3, 15-11, for the win. Tulane beat New Mexico State in 3 to reach the finals. Oklahoma beat TCU in 2 to reach finals.

Not knocking Oklahoma but their first pool was Lamar and New Mexico. Cakewalk to the gold bracket. The toughest pool look to be USC, Tulane and Baylor. All matches going 3 and splitting. Tulane won due to points. Then OU gets TCU and wins a close match to Tulane in the final. Baylor beat Texas Tech. Wonder what the result would be between OU and a Baylor Big 12 matchup.

I'd give that one to Baylor. Considering that just six months ago Oklahoma swept Baylor in OK and beat them 3-1 at Baylor, I'd have to disagree. Unless the original question was directed at the upcoming 2007 season. Baylor appears to have some good frosh coming in, but the jury's still out on how they'll deal with the loss of their graduating 6'5" Californian middle blocker. My understanding is that she was half of their offense and defense at the net.

Oklahoma is actually a surprise winner of this tournament. Its only spring ball. They lost five of the seven starters from last year. Its only spring ball. They have a senior setter that has had to play minimally for the last three years. Its only spring ball. They have a new OH in Marianna Blum who can bring the heat. Its only spring ball. They have a red shirt freshman who is really athletic at middle. Its only spring ball. They have two starters returning: Bridget Laplante, a sophomore, and Sarah Weiland, a senior. Its only spring ball. Why don't we wait on the jury for this bunch, extrapolation usually gives very stupid results.

A surprise to me was Tulane. If I'm not mistaken they're all underclassmen and I think they graduated only one senior. Also, one of their middles went down with an ankle sprain against New Mexico so they were missing a starter when they played Oklahoma.
