Thanks, sIsam! How does the scoring work? (I mean, how do they arrive at 7,5 tourney points?) I think Eczacibasi's m.o. is simple: Game 1, blow 'em out; Game 2, go extra points to let them think they're in it; Game 3, close but no ceegar. Video?

Good GOD, sIsam, who is Eczacibasi's #5? Is she 7 feet tall? She is 192 cm only, so she is missing about 8" to line up with the 7' mark ;D www.voleyboltr.com/ayse-gokcen-denkel/BTW I see B Jenkins team (Karsiyaka) is currently 3rd. Hamide, isn't it a little bit of a surpise for them to get that high?

Teams carry points to the Final Four tournament depending on where they finish the season. First place team starts with 1.5, 2nd with 1, 3rd with 0.5 and the 4th place team with 0.
Karsiyaka beating Vakif is a minor upset. Still they have some quality players who can do major damage when they play. Jenkins also contributed well for them...

It's kinda an odd system without semifinal and championship matches, but good 1st phase result for Eczaci.
Two more matches to repeat as league champions.

It is a weird system and not one that many of us likes... However, this is what we have and we live with it. It is ideal circumstances for Eczaacibasi going into phase two. They are now in a position to clinch the title after their first two matches...

From another part of that match, who among us doesn't like to see a solid, well-executed ball to the face?

Another very interesting rally with a very fitting ending I haven't been following the Turkish league as closely as I have in the past, but looking at these rosters, there is some talent on all four teams.I'm pretty happy to see VakifBank looking up at the other 3 teams! Buzayev just bores me to death. It is hard to watch VakifBank play anyone... So who is going to coach the senior and junior national teams this year?

So who is going to coach the senior and junior national teams this year? Right now we do not have a coach for the senior team yet. Only Cengiz Gollu has been announced as "coordinator" of all women's teams... Rumor has it it could be Kistak or Gokhan Edman... Junior team is currently coached by Kistak... It would change if he were to be appointed the new SNT coach though...
