I know of several Baptist school that are very strict about their students, but not this one. You don't know about Cap Baptist? Or Cal Baptist is not very strict about their students? Don't foresee them needing to move up to NCAA from NAIA... it's an expensive move for any school.

either,. I don't know very much about Cal Baptist. I do know of some Baptist schools that are very strict. They would only admit students who believed exactly what they believed, considering christianity and the basic principals of the Bible. I don't know if Cal Baptist is as strict or is it like BYU that while BYU is a mormon institution, they do let in students that are not mormon. Any clarification or information would be great.

Cal Baptist online info: - must live on campus or with parents locally if under 21? and also if receiving fin aid. - religious studies coursework of 9 units(? overall, or yearly?) required.
and from the online undergrad application:
Statement of Agreement: While California Baptist University strives to be distinctly Christian, this does not mean that only those from Christian backgrounds are admitted as students. It does mean however, that every student is expected to accept and conform to the basic policies of the University that relate to the spiritual and social character of the campus environment. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
Attendance at chapel services is mandatory for all undergraduate students enrolled for seven or more units. Chapel usually meets once per week.
All students are required to complete at least nine units of coursework in Biblical Studies.
Unmarried cohabitation with members of the opposite sex, sexual misconduct, and homosexual behavior are unacceptable for California Baptist University students.
Drinking or being under the influence of intoxicants and using or possessing illegal drugs while in residence at the University are not permitted.
Smoking or using any tobacco product is not permitted on the University campus or at University sponsored events.
The California Baptist University Standard of Student Conduct further delineates behavioral expectations of students. This policy can be found in the University Catalog and the Student Handbook along with the disciplinary procedures used when students fail to comply with these expectations. Policies regarding chapel attendance and academic requirements may also be found in the University Catalog.
I have read the above statement and understand the expectations that will be placed upon me as a student at California Baptist University. I commit myself to abiding by these policies and understand that failure to do so may result in confrontation, guidance, or discipline. I certify that statements made in this application are true and complete to the best of my knowledge. ---------- Appears that applicant should apply per info items of application on line and then discuss any issues.
As smaller campus than BYU for instance, one would want to evaluate overall fit of student with campus, academics..... and vice versa.
Nice folks. Their vball program is nothing to sneeze at. If they go NCAA at any level, the eligibility of players may become more restrictive than their current ones.

What about student transfering in from other schools as say a junior or a senior? I wonder how that would work with the Bible classes?

We've been checking high school students water bottles during school for alcohol.
