I remember the Exterminators won last year (despite the doinky team name ) I'm guessing they have a lot of the same people from last year (although I don't remember many of who they were)

I just remember Sayler and Harrmotto from PSU playing with Exterminators. But I heard Sayler is not playing this time around. Last year there were only 5 teams I think. Should be a little more exciting this time around.

According to Huskyfan in the Washington 2007 Schedule thread, The Dub includes players from the Huskies squad. I guess this is an extracurricular activity or something.

Hey, I saw something while scanning one of the PDFs: "RULES OF PLAY: The United States (FIVB) Domestic Competition Regulations will govern this competition."
What does that mean? The same substitution rule they'd use for international play, perhaps?

The UCLA and Washington teams will be there intact. This is their spring season. The NCAA allows them to trade their four competion days for the four days of the Nationals because those schools are on the quarter system, and thus are still in session.

Are college teams like that competitive in the open division, going up against teams that are generally much older? A couple of years can make a difference.

I think Jim is using this tournament to measure the team's progress this spring. It will test how his new setter gels with her team against high level competitions.
