After a promising start last weekend, Burdine & Mason were out early this weekend, losing in round 2 of the contenders bracket. But Burdine in 4 games update thus far, had 21 aces for 5.25 aces per game.
BRoss team moved smoothly, beating #4 DeNecochea & Fontana 21-19, 13-21, 15-11 to meet May & Walsh in round 4 with the winner moving on into the semis. One thing that bothers me is that Boss is not getting much blocks this season. No doubt, that is partially due to splitting blocking duties with Ross but the latter has been serving more aces, more blocks and more digs than Boss (though she has more efficient hitting stats).

BRoss defeated #1 seed May & Walsh to advance to the semis, and pushing the latter an extra match in the contender bracket to advance to the semi.
Great win for BRoss, but now they're up against Turner & Wacholder in the semi, and they are 0-3 against them. Hopefully, this weekend will be the breakthrough for BRoss.

BRoss fell again to Turner and Wacholder, 17-21, 21-16 and 16-18. Bross actually led T/W 13-10 in game 3 before T/W caught up with them. Yikes! They are now 0-4 against T/W, but $9,500 paycheck for reaching the semis is nice for 2-day work.

Burdine/Mason seeded #10 ended the tournament with #17 placement.
The Lindquist sisters seeded #17 ended with #13 placement.
Btw, in AVP team team point ranking, BRoss have surpassed DeNecochea/Fontana to move into #4 with 1224 points.

seems like April has found her niche on the beach after trying Puerto Rico and the national team. Great news!

Did April ever make a try with the National team? I just don't ever remember her being on any kind of National team try out roster.
