I like that she was pretty honest in assessing her passing ability and how she needs to work on that aspect. Seems like she has a good attitude.

Oh man, she shouldn't be a lawyer though. I am one, and it sucks.

I was dissapointed to find out she's such a big fan of Kobe Bryant.

"Kobe is a good teammate"? "People think he's selfish"? Hard to believe that anyone thinks Kobe is a good teammate, hard to believe anyone doesn't think he's selfish.....Stanford players beware, you have a misguided lawyer in your midst next year.

Don't be too harsh on Alix. Kids under the age of 30 are all pretty much stupid. I'm not singling out Alix. Everybody is stupid before age 30. Of course, some mature earlier than others, but most just don't have the experiences and knowledge and wisdom and good judgment until late 20s/early 30s to know better.

isn't she part of the class of 2007 because in the article it said,
"Klineman admits the process, despite her standing as the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2008 and having been pegged for greatness since she became a teenager, was anything but easy."
isn't she the #1 recruit in the class of 2007?

Good article. She is actually quite pretty...and very tall & thin. She will do very well at Stanford. Best of luck and welcome to the Farm.

I think she'll do well at Stanford regardless of being pretty, tall, and thin. Frankly, when I was at Stanford, the general populace was smart, but a little shortchanged by the Lord in the looks department. Good article. She is actually quite pretty...and very tall & thin. She will do very well at Stanford. Best of luck and welcome to the Farm.

I think she'll be the national freshman of the year in a slam dunk, & will be the biggest impact freshman since Pavan. Could very well be the missing piece to carry Stanford to their seventh championship.

Expecting male fans not to notice (and gossip about) players' looks is futile... but I think we do need to remember that volleyball programs are enough like families for the players to be treated like surrogate sisters (or daughters). I remember one volleyball banquet when Coach Dunning told one of the students loosely associated with the team that he could not date a particular player (who was probably the best looking one on the team at that time)... even though he did so half-jokingly, he did it in his general remarks, so he was presumably trying to make a point about his program in front of the whole community, not just about that one situation with one person. At a later banquet, that player was at my table and held hands with her boyfriend all the way through the banquet, just as my fiancée (when she was a year or so older) used to hold mine (when I was twenty-ish years younger). Ah, youth...

Actually, following women's volleyball, I have found myself not really noticing the looks of any of the players, in general. Guess it's just age. Much more interested in how they play volleyball than how the ladies look. Strange as I will then go outside the gym and covertly ogle the coeds, as I did 35 years ago on campus.

I would have to say that Hodge from PSU last year was one of the most impactfull Freshman in recent history. Probably even more so than Pavan was.
