I'm tempted to ask a question but I'm afraid it'll be terribly irrelevant, something along the lines of "Why won't UH revert to their pre-June Jones uniform colors?" or "Much has been made of UH's great marine biology program, but did ANY Wahine in the history of Wahine volleyball take advantage of that prestigious program during their Wahine volleyball career? Huh? Did they? Or did they mostly major in something easy like physical education or communications?"

IS there anyway to access it directly? I can't find it on the starbulletin site ... On the Star-Bulletin page, look on the left hand side under Star-Bulletin bloggers; UH Sports Extra. Click on UH Sports Extra on the next page and you'll see the blogs for football and for volleyball. Hope that helps.

Much has been made of UH's great marine biology program, but did ANY Wahine in the history of Wahine volleyball take advantage of that prestigious program during their Wahine volleyball career? Huh? Did they? Not entirely sure but I think Megan O'Brian, who was on the team as a walk-on for two seasons (2001-2002), took up marine biology. She was in the same batch of freshmen as Ashley Watanabe.

Maaan...I can't believe people are still regurgitating that 2004 Wisconsin match (plus the career night by senior Jill "bomber" Odenthal). Let's move on.

On one of the innumerable threads about University of Hawaii volleyball somebody quoted the NCAA official in charge of tournament play (discussing yet again why Hawaii did not host in the first round) as saying that they don't want any team to travel more than 4 time zones, a rule particularly relevant to Hawaii. If the NCAA sticks to its own rule Hawaii should be in the Stanford regional this year, as Wisconsin, Florida and Penn State are, if my geography has not failed me, at least 5 time zones away.
