Big win for the USA Youth team; 3-0 over Italy.
They have been up and down with results, but this seems like a great win. Signs of progress ?
Not sure of game scores, or stats.

USA over Italy 3-0: 25-15, 27-25, 26-24. Sounds like it took some heart. www.fivb.org/vis_web/volley/GY2007/pdf/P2-055.pdfwww.fivb.org/vis_web/volley/GY2007/pdf/P3-055.pdfMy take on it from reading the stats sheet is that something clicked and they played well as a team. Murrey was the leading scorer with 16 points, but 3 other players were in double digits and Carpenter (!) had 9 (4 kills, 3 blocks, and 2 aces). While getting 29 "running" sets (a hitter isolated). Errors were down too. So yes: signs of progress.

Turkey will play China in the final, both teams were in USA`s first group. What a tough opening draw. Looked like USA has bounced back and are playing better.
Werth is playing opposite, probably for the first time, and seems to be doing well.
Does not seem as if this team has as many top calibre international level players as the previous two Youth teams, I believe both had 4th place finishes at their world championships.
