Pavan tip kill and NU takes G1 30-24.
Pavan's really done a nice job with her tip shot so far this season.

Duke has some nice attackers. And an interesting double slide play to overload.

I'm stunned! I saw Duke play CSUN and thought they were good, but likely had the match of their collective lives v USC. I'm surprised. It's not a tall team, and I thought Nebraska would hold them to under 20 in a fast three. Wrong again...
THANKS for keeping it all updated, Ersatz.

DeMange - Hausfeld connection is something to see. Yeah, those 2 have combined for some beautiful plays.

It's the passing. Either Duke's serves have a lot of lateral motion or Huskers are not moving to front the ball. Lots of platforms being swung around at the last second to pass a ball to the side.
Holloway also appears to be undersetting a little.

Also, Schwarz is vulnerable when Duke's right side attack tips over the block. She's missed at least two of those so far.

I love it that DeMange plays all the way around.
With the camera at the back of the court on the Duke side, you can see that DeMange really has some nice movement defensively at middle back.
She's quickly becoming one of my favorite non-NU players.

Lots of platforms being swung around at the last second to pass a ball to the side. Lots of side passing by Duke as well. Could really see it in the 2nd game. I know CH's and Stalls' serves have had a lot of lateral movement -- you can see it even on the fuzzy full screen shot.
