Two straight blocks by Amber Kaufman. If she keeps this up, she could seal the second middle spot.

Watching live stats flow by it sure seemed like a lots of errors by both team. UH lead the digging 24-21, though it was a larger margin earier in the game. This is one element of volleyball that I absolutely hate -- the direct translation of errors to points. I want a team to be at a disadvantage when they make a mistake, but I don't want the other team to be awarded a point DIRECTLY from that mistake. We need yet another rule change, for example, like you can't advance a fumble or interception. Yes. I want teams to EARN their points positively. Now, who's going to give me this? It's called changing the game back to sideout scoring.

I wonder what Dave said to the girls in the lockerroom during the intermission. It's like Jekyll and Hyde out there. Sub-par games 1 and 2, and blistering 3 and 4.

It looks like we are headed to game five, as Hawaii is dominating, up 16-8. Still, fifth games can be pretty random, so I am sure the people of the islands are still holding their breath.

Go Shockers! What a big win this would be for them. BTW I think they have the coolest mascot name...The Shockers!

For the people watching the match on TV, does Brandt have a better connection with Kaufman and Simmons than Sanders and Gregory?

What bugs me about Hawaii this year, was, as I saw it last year, Sanders and Gregory were both on the brink of being All-Americans this year. Now, they rarely get set or even playing time.
It sounds like Kaufman is doing very very well tonight, though.

I wasn't falling behind. I had to add my $.02 for emphasis.

Jamie Houston may not even make All-American. In fact, I'm not sure Hawaii will sweep the All-WAC honors, except for some second teamers (Houston, Ka'aihue).

24-14 UH.
WSU has been using players who weren't in games 1-3 this game.
Perhaps to give their starters more rest for game 5.
