At least one Notre Dame team can actually win.

So Alabama beats Ohio, takes ND to 5 before losing, and then loses to College of Charleston in 4.

Big shocker for me to walk in and see Charleston up 2 games to 1 and with a big lead in game 4. I only saw a couple of points, so I have no idea what happened to the Tide today.

So the gametracker froze up in the ND/Ohio match in game 4. How'd it come out?

ND pooched game 1 (badly) and game 3 (enough to lose). The Irish were strong in game 2, and outplayed in game 4. Game 4 was the only one where Ohio looked like a ranked team. I felt like, after game 3, ND ought to be able to take it to five, but the Bobcats looked really impressive in shutting down game 4.

Sorry to weigh in so late. The 6+ hour drive back from South Bend was nasty -- heavy fog for the last hour.
Actually, Games 1 and 4 were good. Ohio didn't hit quite as strong in Game 1 -- but, hey, you cannot hit .500 every game (as we did in Game 4) -- and made a few more errors. Game 1 easily could've been 30-20. Game 2 was a typical Ohio meltdown. We are usually good for one a match against decent teams. We got a combined 46 kills from Blackburn and Herman. Blackburn complained throughout the second half of the match that officials were not giving her credit for some kills. I sat quite a way from the court -- to avoid the ND crowd -- and couldn't tell if this was legit.
It was nice to come back and take the tournament championship after the opening loss. Apparently, Alabama spent everything they had on us. The second 5-gamer against ND probably didn't help either. They had very little for College of Charleston today.

OU, if you wanted to avoid the ND crowd, I'd recommend sitting on the far side of the arena (where most of the Ohio fans located). Notwithstanding the kill count from Blackburn and Herman, I didn't really feel like they were killing us until game 4 (although Herman's serve was a big weapon throughout). (Which is to say, ND was getting blocks, digs, and errors, until in game 4 when the block seemed to be late or ineffective and the two hitters were just crushing everything.)
