Apparently, Hittle is going to suit up for the Wahine basketball team. That's one more scholarship towards next season. I say, bring in another middle! Who's still out there?

Isn't 6-3 MB, Brittany Hewitt coming in, not sure about 6-5 Tabi Love. Kenani Herring will be the gem of next year's incoming class.

Not to hijack this thread on Wahine recruiting, but I am curious to Mick Haley's plan for 2008 recruits. There are 5 scholie seniors this year (Copenhagen, Johansen, Bishop, Siemiatskowska and Kaczor) and so far only 1 2008 recruit in Kendall Bateman. Maybe one of the scholies goes to a current walk-on on the team, maybe Hillgren (whom I doubt is on a scholie this year). Also, I suspect that Haley will go for international recruits to fill in the gap (between 2008 scholies available and the recruits).

I don't understand how this works. I know that basketball has the priority for the scholarship, but does that mean Hittle will take a current basketball player's scholarship? Or the coach has to save one for her? Is vb or bb getting charged for Hittle's scholarship this year?

I wonder if they ever considered recruiting players from China's national team.
The men's basketball team signed a 6'10" Xi Jiang from China for the upcoming season.

Isn't Tabi Love '09?
A lot of the top '08 recruits have yet to commit (though I don't know how many of them are even considering Hawaii) or maybe a transfer.

Remember a few months ago a discussion about one Wahine being without a scholarship, was it Brandt or Otineru everyone wanted to know? Good chance Hittle's scholarship is going to that mystery player.UH is done with 08 recruiting Shoji stated that a month ago in the press.
I don't know what Tabi is going to do but UH has many Canadians on different teams ,thirteen I last counted including a new 6'10 forward on the Men's basketball team and a 6'3 center on the women's basketball team.Canada and Australia have done good at UH.

Not any more - I don't think. Right now I don't know anything more than what I hear from second-hand sources. Apparently she's going to take her official visits then decide.

There was a rumor earlier that someone on the team would also be playing basketball. I think most people thought it would be Houston. If Hittle plays bball this season that will free up her vball schollie this year, right?

Hawai'i might get a transfer MB hopefully? ?......So that would be 2 scholarship middles graduating this year and leaves, 6'0 Kaufman 6'3 Simmons 6'3 Thomas? ...(not sure)... Incoming middle would be: 6'3 Brittney Hewitt for '08 5'10 Kanani Herring would be playing OH.....(Thank God)!......

UCLA & Washington.... is SC in the running for Tarah Murrey?
