So this may be something that has been discussed in a previous thread, but I didn't catch anything.....it could also be that no one cares. But I was just curious, and from looking at the stats it appears that Yanz has taken over the setting job at Penn State? I believe that she struggled last season with some injuries (?) and didn't see much time, and then Glass started the season as their go to, but this past weekend it looks like Yanz was the one. It could be that the comepetition wasn't up to par really, but she did set against St. Johns. Just wondering if anyone had any insight.

There also seems to be somewhat of a battle to establish who will be the M2 this year, something that was discussed earlier on another thread. Walbridge's playing time has gone down considerably of late.

Hey, has Blair Brown ever played at all this season?....I seen her during warmups last season vs. Washington in Seattle... I thought she looked really tough?....Just curious as to why R.R. has not played her?....Anyone?

Walbridge has started in every game so far this year. This past weekend they gave all the players time since they were playing easy teams. Blair Brown was playing RS and did a great job.She was redshirted last year due to injuries. Yantz came in for Glass in the second game against Nebraska and stayed in the rest of the match. PSU is loaded with talent what a problem to have.

Brown has played great at RS, Yanz is setting well. Not sure about being hurt last year, thought it was just being able to compete at the necessary level last year, call it freshman jitters but her pedigree as a x sports performance setter may give her the upper hand over Glass but Glass is a terrific athlete. Maybe it will be a 6-2. The best frosh in the BIG TEN for this year could very well be Wilson who just is now starting to get some playing time. This frosh will be a real force in the middle. There is also a battle going on for the Libero spot. Russ just has all kinds of good problems which is going to make for some highly competitive practices to see who is going to be the best 6 to put on the floor for the Big 10 season. My guess is that whoever starts and shines against Stanford this coming weekend will be the picks that will start the Big 10 season. This is still a young team that is just going to get better for the next couple of years.

Not sure I'd go as far as great this year for BB. She has shown some sign of being great, and has looked invisible at other times.
