Looks like Minnesota snatched a potential badger in Tabi Love. I sure hope Pete Waite has some magic up his sleeves. 2009 recruits look to be on the thin side in Wisconsin high school volleyball. Sure would like to know who Pete is recruiting for 2009, he has up to four scholarships available, depending if he signs another one or 2 for 2008. Would like to see Colleen Ward become a Badger, could see her playing right side for the badgers. Any body with any recruiting gossip for the Badgers?

The last I heard was that Love had crossed Wisconsin off the list many moons ago.

Is this another Tabi Love thread disguised as a Wisconsin thread?

Minnesota's about as Wisconsin as you can get without actually being Wisconsin. You should be thrilled.
I wonder why Murphy never seemed to have the Badgers (or the Gophers for that matter) on her list.

I know of some potential Top 1- 15 Midwest players that are high on the list for the Badgers and visa versa. I don't have the liberty to throw out names at this point, but I have no doubt that Pete is strong on the trail of several key recruits...MB's and OH's. He already has gotten commitments from two very dynamic 2008 players. Be patient. The badgers should be a top team for many years. They haven't been Top 10 for most of the past few years for nothing. Give the coaching staff some credit.

patience has not been one of my better virtues, but thanks for the info. I feel much better. It seems to me that Pete will really need to broaden his recruiting base. The midwest is really a hot bed for many newer teams, like Iowa, Iowa State, minnesota, lillinois, northwestern, purdue, michigan msu, kentucky, etc etc. It used to be pretty easy for wisconsin to get the cream of the crop, but now it isn't as easy. I would like to see him try to tap texas, and internationally.... I just love my badgers so much, that I want them to always be a top ten team.

Don't fight it. Embrace the Gopher. Yeah... come on over. I defected from Wisconsin about a decade back, and couldn't be happier. And there were barely any side effects!

Love had it down to MN and Hawaii. Another big recruit that had Hawaii on their list that went somewhere else.

It was temporary... just until the gopher ears grew in!
