Looks as though Ohio has a better rhythm for this match. Fewer players getting in, better hitting percentages. Ohio leads Game 2, 22-16. Faleti is pacing the hitters with 10 kills; Herman and Blackburn have 9 and 5, respectively, for Ohio.

Nice performance for the Bobcats!

I heard Ellen Herman went down today with a bad ankle sprain...out for the day. That is a big loss for the Bobcats if it is true. Looks like the freshman Jacobi came in again for them.
Washington State is having a great start, Brian is doing a solid job there. Ohio must have played well to take WSU out that way.

Did not see the game in person (reported from Live Stats). Herman did not start or play in Game 3, but she did play most of the match. If she is out, it is a loss but not a BIG loss. Jacobi has been playing most of the early season and is quite capable of stepping up. Ohio is not a one-dimensional team. Herman was dominant in the first two tournaments, but Blackburn has been just as dominant the last two weekends.

Wasn't Blackburn playing L earlier in the season? Blackburn came to Ohio as an OH. As more talent arrived (especially the latest recruiting class), she and Carlston talked about moving her into the L role (to replace her sister). Stephie toyed with trying out at L with the national team. Her first stint as libero came during the match versus Minnesota. At the Notre Dame tournament, she moved back to OH. I assume the move was designed to fire up the team.
