Huge, like silversurfer said. I'm also quite surprised.
The Big West really needed a win like this.

according to website Ohio played Long Beach without their leading offensive weapon Ellen Herman and Simons in the middle, both with ankle sprains from earlier in the tourney. Ohio's freshman OH came in and played ok, but certainly Ohio missed those two players.
Looks like Grimes had a match though, dang. Saw her versus San Diego, she's a stud.

If Alexis keeps playing like how she has been doin so far in the season, she'll be an AA. Even with their losses, Alexis has been holding down on her part with the offense and keeping her numbers up. Good Job ladies!.....

Herman not playing really must have hurt Ohio. Not much offense without her. She hits front and back row.

Herman not playing really must have hurt Ohio. Not much offense without her. She hits front and back row. I am not sure Herman's absence hurt as much as the inconsistent play (i.e., multitude of hitting errors) from the others. If you look at the stats for the post-Herman matches, Blackburn, Griffin, and Sytsma stepped up nicely. Even Jacobi contributed. Hitting stunk Saturday.

My simple impression was that overall, Ohio has the better volleyball players and overall, Long Beach has the better athletes. On Saturday, athleticism won. Crimes' swooping back- row attacks are something to behold.

Huh? Crimes is playing backrow now? Is she playing opposite?
