Utah State is mildly surprising this year so far. Their conference schedule toughens up shortly though. Of all the teams I see here, Idaho seems to have the most untapped potential so far.... this means those bottom four teams are really struggling!

Utah State and Nevada both swept SJSU this last weekend. Utah State and Idaho both took NMSU to 4 games, but I think USU scored more points against them. It should be interesting between Idaho, Nevada, and USU this season.

The NMSU-USU match @ NMSU was 2 days before the NMSU-Hawaii match. I think that the NMSU players had their focus on Hawaii, just like Hawaii lost one game to LA Tech on the same night. The NMSU-Idaho @ NMSU two days ago was like watching two separate NMSU teams. In G1, NMSU was slow but steady. In G2, Mike Jordan was livid. He was really unhappy with the setting, especially from Gintant. After the intermission, NMSU came out of the locker room a different team and proceeded to clobber Idaho 30-16 and 30-14. See the quotes by Gintant in the LC-Sun-News article www.lcsun-news.com/sports/ci_7041349 . I'll be watching the NMSU-Utah match on Utah's All-Access site (thank you Utah for making it free).
