NEWS FLASH: Football still supports the entire athletic program, as great as vball is they don't turn a profit...........however, football is slowly but surely giving the state a bad name, they are the jokes of college football, i would love to use the comeback, "we still got vball", but unfortunatly in most circles no body cares. Its sad the one team that we can have pride in and nobody outside our state borders cares or knows the much about them (other then the VBall community), but the one team we would love to hide, is plastered all over the national media Where do you get this stuff. I visit with a great cross-section of people across the state and volleyball is huge. I don't know what kind of circles you run in but perhaps you should hang out with a little more well rounded crowd. I meant outside the state of NE and outside the Vball community...sorry

I thought that is was solich that didn't offer be for he left, callahan came in and offered a perfered walk-on because his staff didn't have the chance to "evaluate" him with so little time till signing day, I hope they have evaluated him now..........but if i remember reading an article of him, head didn't really have any D-1 offers, i think all kstate, colorado and a couple other Big 12 schools wanted him to walk on too

I for one was not a solich fan, he may have been a good O coordinator but that is totally different then being a head coach, from knowing some former players that played under TO and solich, then saw the handwritting on the wall and said that concern was voiced to Byrne about solich and making changes on that staff. I do think that the good old boy club did get a lil comfortable in their ways and didn't want to chnage with the times, I recall going to a couple football camps down there and at other campuses and noticing how outdated NU methods were becoming, i think that is one reason TO got out.....however my problem with Callahan is not that i don't think he is a bad coach, cause you don't take a team to the super bowl by being a bad coach, I don't think ha has adapted to the college game very well. You can't coach in college the same way you do in the pros. College is way too wide open, its very hard to sit on leads like you can in the NFL, you have to take more chances, the only pro coach to have success has been pete carroll, and that is because he changed hie approach, the other pro coaches try and keep it th same asthe pros and fail.....NU needs to get rid of Bill!!! In pederson's defense, i didn't see him miss any blocks or tackles, and i didn't see him drop balls or call horrible plays, I agree he needs to go, but so does Callahan and cosgrove!!!!!!!

When I see the name "Niles Pederson," I think of Niles Crane. And then I wonder about Daphne Moon's petooty.

I believe Woodhead will be on ESPN this week to showcase his record setting performance. Trust me....the really missed the boat on him.

yeah they did i will agree with you, that is why i put it "evaluate", because i think it was an excuss, he was setting all kinds of records in Nebraska in high school, there are quite a few coaches, not just NU, that missed the boat on this kid, just goes to show, if you aren't a certain, height, weight, jump so high, or run so fast, you get passed up.....well Marlon lucky and and the other met that standard and look what we got, because in my opinion, Lucky is a bust!!!!

let jut hope whoever comes in and takes over doesn't concentrate so much on turning around the Football program that the other sports get lost and lose out

One measure of my feelings for a college football program is by answering the following question:
Which team do I love beating and running up the score against in my PlayStation2 NCAA Football game?
Easy: Nebraska.

Did you know that it's possible to go back into your own posts and modify them? Or, do you prefer this method as a way to bulk up your post count?
