I propose a bet. Someone with ties to the coaches and video tron should jump in on this to make it happen. I think that instead of betting on the outcome with Corn and Pineapples, that the coaching staff should vote from humility: If Nebraska wins, then the video screen should play this tribute to Nebraska heritage: widgets.clearspring.com/o/46a8f95380ba919f/470f62c1655684a5When Hawaii wins, then the video screen should play this Nebraska tribute to Hawaiian culture: www.jibjab.com/starring_you/receipt/1367281Special thanks to ladeda for bringing this feature to our attention. Now, will probably see some potshots and banter from the wannabe programs, like Wisconsin and Florida for starters. But they should be ignored. This thread, this match, this rivalry, is between the two most attended juggernaut programs in the sport. I expect this match to be seen by nearly 15,000 live people, and another 100,000 on live TV. Additionally, another 5,000 people are expected to follow this online. What other match this season even comes close? (Well, besides the regular Hawaii matches). Oh, and in case you're wondering... the VB Mecca claim has been latched onto as some sort of bandwagon attempt to steal Hawaii's claim as volleyball's most "holy" site. I'm sorry, but no matter the result, VB Mecca is in Honolulu.

Question for Husker Season ticket holders. Will there be seating sections designated for season ticket holders or is it GA seating for everyone. I hope I don't have to fight for a seat with the Rif-raf.

Last time they did a match at Devaney the season ticket holders got the A and B sections and the others C.

You'd think a state renowned for its beef, would be a little better at hearding their cattle, er, crowd!
Advantage: Hawaii as VB Mecca

I know someone had previously stated that the match was on 'NET'. From my limited understanding, this is just available to people in Nebraska. Is there internet access for us poor folks outside the Midwest? I know Scott Robbs is covering it---But I would love to 'see' it too!

That's my understanding of how the system is supposed to work. Something else that I have been wondering about. How many tickets is Hawaii getting as the visiting team? And, are they GA or will they be in a specified (and reserved) section?

There's only one volleyball mecca and that's at a volleyball party at my Hawaii Kai home in front of a 63" TV with pizza, hamburgers, bratwurst, polish sausages, hot dogs, fried chicken, buffalo wings, watermelon, orange, chips, salsa, soft drinks, and beer. Some of you have been there and you know what I'm talking about.

The match will be televised in Hawai'i on a pay per view basis too!

Last night at work I was looking at the season statistics for Hawaii and Nebraska. I found this comparison to be interesting and think that it might be a topic worthy of discussion as the actual match approaches.
Would someone (IB?) with superior computer skills be willing to compile and post a chart with comparative statistics in the major categories? Thanks in advance!

The game should be showing at Eastside Grill. That's always a popular hang out for UH sports. The last time I watched UH vs Nebraska at Eastside, Villaroman and Eckmier were present. Eckmier didn't seem as tall as she does on court. Strangly, Villaroman didn't seem as short. Go figure.

Another advantage for Hawaii: Actually making money off of Pay-per-view. Go figure, it's volleyball!
