As we speak I'm sitting out on my lanai high up on Loa Ridge working on my packing list for my trip to the evil empire but before I get ahead of myself did you know that lanai and Lana'i have different meanings ? Lanai without the okina means porch or balcony.Lana'i is the island. What is an okina and how does it affect the pronunciation of Lana'i? Well, I'll save that for another day. For good luck Hopefully I'll get past the Paparazzi and have Clara Claven sign it For trading with the natives A gift for John and Lee

Nebraska's biggest advantage, of course, is that they are a vastly better team.

Nebraska's biggest advantage, of course, is that they are a vastly better team. We're talking about Mecca-ness, not team quality. Which is Mecca, which is Medina? Pay attention, please.

Last night at work I was looking at the season statistics for Hawaii and Nebraska. I found this comparison to be interesting and think that it might be a topic worthy of discussion as the actual match approaches. Would someone (IB?) with superior computer skills be willing to compile and post a chart with comparative statistics in the major categories? Thanks in advance! I think that statistically, Nebraska will have the edge. Hawaii had a pretty slow start. YOU pay attention. Doof.

Excuse me please. What language is "sheesh" taken from and what is its proper translation?
I've tried to look up its meaning in standard lexicons such as Pritchard's Guide to Compleat English, Gabelli and Ganbanzo's Modern Romance Language, Ganiff and Ganiff's A Look at Yiddish Today, as well as some of the lessor tome's on ebonics, pidgin, jive, New Joisy, and Greek/Aramaic. I can find no reference.
The closest I can come is bacsheesh, kind of like a bribe or "grease." Frankly I am at my twits end. Can some one help?

They're going to play the match in Milwaukee? Is there snow expected in Nebraska or something?
[The MECCA is in Milwaukee (though it has a corporate name these days) and a number of snowed-out baseball games early in the 2007 season were moved to Milwaukee's Miller Park]

I just hope that Hawai'i will at least give Nebraska a good battle. Hopefully, Houston will be playing her best volleyball along with Tara Hittle and Aneli. Hopefully the Middles will bring it with the Hawai'i block. Just a question?...Who's averaging more blocks per game?....Hawai'i or Nebraska?....Anyone?

i think for hawaii win or lose they will gain alot out of this match. but i am obviously on the side of the Wahine, always will be. regardless to a bunch of statistics, which are just numbers in my opinion. i don't care to how good nebraska is, because i know they are beatable, yeah no team has shown that they can but i mean iowa state whom was swept by the huskers, well they showed the nation that they can push themselves into a situation where they could have took game one away from nebraska. correct me if i am wrong here, but i believe that iowa state is 11-8 on the season thus far. another match we can't forget about is the colorado match last season. you can't honestly tell me that the win colorado had over nebraska was nothing. #1 team in the nation gets stunned by an unranked team? hmm, it proves alot of things. yeah, the squad is different than last year, maybe even stronger. but every single team is beatable.
now, i am going to admit i was very suprised to all the positive feed and encouragment many of you have for this wahine team. but i am happy that you all believe they will win, because i do too. than there are the ones who are still slamming hawaii to the ground saying that the have no chance. oh well nebraska is still beatable, and i will continue saying that. win or lose come this sunday.

For trading with the natives I'd kill for Caramacs. Of course, I won't be there, so it's probably not important to you....

For good luck I went to the 2000 Community Bankers' Classic at Pacific. The family of Colorado State's Summer Jennings flew in from Hawaii and brought one of these with them. Her dad was shaking them, and they looked pretty messed up by the second day. Then the Pacific mascot PowerCat decided to mock him by taping paper towel strips to a stick and they started dueling with their respective instruments to see who could shake his the hardest. For trading with the natives Probably grown in China anyways.

A smaller legal consequence, and they are on sale: www.abcstores.com/browse.cfm/4,406.htm $2.99 a box! Not bad. *Orders which contain Chocolates must be shipped EXPEDITED. *Limit: 36 boxes of chocolates per order
