They really needed this win (yes, even more than the Illini) today. I'm stunned with the blocking stats: 2 solo and 42 assist. lol We'll see if GT was accurate once the OSU box score is on the website.
How ironic that match point was blocked by 2 5-10'ers (Calhoun/Dull). Back to the bathroom cleaning-- then maybe some free Huskers radio.

Hey graytribe, you're suppose to support the Wildcats. No crossover allegiances ! It's like cross dressing. Very confusing.

There's nothing confusing about crossdressing. You just need to focus on the Adam's Apple.

Illinois 1-7 in game 5s this year.
And once again followup a big win against Minnesota with a bad loss at home.

This league makes absolutely no sense, outside of PSU and (hopefully) Wisconsin. Ohio State looked bad on friday night, and now they go to Illinois and win after the Illini took PSU to five. I really have no clue what to expect in the Big Ten this year.

Just got back from the match. Once again UI gets outblocked 23-8. And our serving was AWFUL. Stats said only 2 more than OSU but it seemed more like double. This was hands down our worst match all year. We even had on our road uniforms to try to break the home jink.
Meyer was very good as was Dull (?) #16. But to lose at home against a team who's setter wasn't even a setter? But probably outplayed ours. A good win fror OSU but ANOTHER really bad lose at home for UI.

Yikes. How do you get outblocked 23-8 by a team that is starting a middle and an outside under six feet tall? Not good.

We've been getting outblocked all season. A big reason is playing 3-4 freshman in the front row. And our LS's and setter are under 6' also. PSU had 25 blocks on us Fri. And getting outblocked usually also jacks up the hitting errors. I would imagine we'd be winning some of these game 5 matches if we could be even an average blocking team.
