Kelli Miller broke a 20-year-old school record and then almost equaled it the next match. Player of the week recognition is for things like that!

Miller was unbelieveable last week. 76 digs in 8 games! I'd like to see any dig numbers from any 2 matches for the whole year in which someone put up that good of numbers.

9.5 digs A GAME? That is remarkable. It is hard to believe someone doing that. And 36 against Michigan in 4 games?
And it's good to see another bright, young setter in the Big Ten getting some recognition.

I see... I didn't know that as I rarely follow links.
That's pretty impressive. Congrats to her.

Congrats to Kelli Miller. She is an amazing "athlete" as well as an amazing Libero for Purdue. She is an excellent passer as well as an excellent defender.
She reads the defense well, has exceptionally quick feet and reaction time and really put on an exhibition against Michigan. She showed what an all-around great libero is all about.
She certainly deserved the award.

Bomber...sorry, but I have to disagree...kind of...
I think Kelli Miller deserved her award.
However, I agree with you. I think the offensive award definitely deserved to go to PSU or WI. I thought Reinecke had a great game as well as Dolgner. Of course, Harmotto is nothing short of totally great and it could have gone to her too.
The Big Ten Team seems to have a little different "selective" process this year and I don't think that is all bad. I like seeing players that are sometimes on the "losing" end but performed exceptional for their team, still get recognized.

The offensive award could have gone to any of 4-players for PSU/UW.
