I just watched the Washington UCLA match and was really impressed by the liberos on both squads. From the Pac 10 liberos I have seen, I rank as following:
1) Tama Miyashiro - makes it look really easy which is how it should look . great court sense.
2) Jade Machado - holy crap. so many amazing ups and perfect passes. I don't know why she wasn't starting last season. She must have improved tremendously because she is levels above Lyman.
3) Katie Swoboda - solid passer great digger
4) Gaby Ailes - terrific freshman. digs bullets
I haven't seen Sydney Donahue so apologies to any ASU fans.

There are a lot of good liberos in the pac10 this year. Those 5 you mentioned are really great liberos, I wont even attempt at ranking them. And there is no way there can be no mention of Hyder at Wazzu, she's amazing as well.
Since the beginning of the libero, the pac10 has had the most amazing liberos, starting with Zartman, Lee, Seilhammer, and now the current batch. But those three(Zartman, Lee, and Seilhammer) really set the bar high for the position in this conference. Now that it's an established position, I think that the talent and skill levels are only going to increase.

I'd rank Sydney Donahue the second best Libero in the Pac 10 after Tama. And don't forget that National Team Libero Nicole Davis also played in the Pac 10.

1. Miyashiro 2. Swoboda 2. Donahue 2. Hyder 2. Machado 2. Ailes
Dang, this is a tough one! Lots of great talent to choose from. For me, passing is the key. That makes it harder to rate them by eyeball.

Donahue is doing a great job, she seems very focused and ready to work hard at making plays.

Isn't Donahue the all time leader in digs now? But I agree, Zartman, Seilhammer, and Lee set a high bar for this league.

I think I recently read that she's the all time leader at ASU...not the Pac-10. But yes Zartman, Lee and Sielhammer set the bar very very high. I was looking at some of the past box scores of UW matches (2005) and Lee's digs numbers would be in the thirtys (in 3 game sweeps!)...amazing, just amazing

Donahue broke the Pac-10 career digs record against USC on September 20th. thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/recaps/092107aaa.html
