The salary expectations of Maes are quite interesting from what I understand. I find it interesting that a guy who has never been a head coach cand demand to be the highest paid coach in the ACC? I am still trying to determine if Nebraska Volleyball got better or worse after Lee arrived. I know the national title was won during that time (second year on board - I think), but look at the state of affairs in Lincoln now.

Most of those players responsible for winning the title were recruited during the time of Skinner and Tagaloa. Nebraska has not been getting National Championship caliber players the last two years and the players committed for 2008 and 2009 probably don't strike fear into the heart of Stanford, Texas, Washington and Penn State.

He can always ask, they don't HAVE to pay it. Thats the point of the capitalist society. Look at all the CEO's. They ask and the idiot members of the boards give it to them.

I think he meant the state affairs in Lincoln. Lee's getting blamed for the chaos at the Capitol.

I thought Lee surrendering ruined Booth’s plans to ransom Lincoln.

I think Maes could be a good coach. But head coaching at Virginia is a lot different than assistant coaching at Nebraska. Just because you THINK you know how to do it, doesn't mean you will. Ask Dave Boos. It gets a lot harder when you aren't backed with the power of a Final Four logo on your chest! I'm sure new blood will make UVA more competitive. Good for them for not hiring Cindy F, or thinking so narrowly about gender.

Wow, 2 more pages and this still has not been decided. Enjoyed skiing last night and will go again later today. Good luck figuring this one out.
btw....Keystonekid has reported in the FILLED positions thread that the "Virginia job is filled". Keystone did not include a name.
P-Dub responded by asking the mods to delete that rumor. Very entertaining bloggin going on here.
Keystonekid = 3,429 posts (Professional level) p-dub = 6,466 posts (Champion level)
I'll go with the champion on this one, although I'd hedge a bet that Keystone really does know something.

I am not giving you rumor. True, I didn't give you a name, but the Virginia job has been offered an accepted.
