Stanford, Calif. - The eighth ranked Stanford Men's Volleyball swept 12th ranked USC 3-0 in the first MPSF match of the year. The Cardinal brought a balanced attack led by Ben Reddy's 13 kills. Senior middle blocker Craig Buell added 11 kills followed by senior outside hitter David Vogel with 10. Assisting the offense was fifth-year senior Kevin Hansen, leading the team with 40 assists. Hansen set a milestone by breaking the 4000 career assist mark, and is currently fourth all-time in Stanford history with 4001 assists.
In game one, the Cardinal edged the Trojans 30-25, led by the crafty serving of Buell. Hansen took the offense into his own hands, putting away three kills on four attempts.
