I have been visiting the FIVB.org website. They have the scoresheets, best player info there, and they have some pretty good action shots of the matches played so far. I have been sticking to he indoor side and the photos are pretty well organized into matches etc. I went into the beach volleyball side and boy is it a mish mash. They don't even divide it up by dates, its one big smorgasbord of images. So, by looking through the gigantic proof sheet of all the pictures, here is what I would think beach volleyball is all about:
1) The Chinese teams played more matches than anybody in the world, their pictures are all over the site.
2) Misty and Kerri plays a lot too, but not as much as the Chinese teams.
3) Nicole and Elaine also played a lot.
4) Ruben Acosta was at every single match, he is photographed with everyone.
5) There are these gorgeous looking women who spontaneously break into dance and song in the middle of the matches. The "dancing girls" shots pop up nearly every three action shots.
6) It isn't a volleyball. It is a Mikasa. Like Misty just dug the Mikasa. Or the Chinese block really did a number on the Mikasa. Whenever the caption mentions the orblike ballon, it is always The Mikasa. Merry Christmas from Tio Ruben.
By the way, USC fans, there were a few shots of Bibiana Candelas playing. Have fun finding those shots though, learn to use the Find function on your browser, fast.
