Here is something that has been on my mind and maybe one or two of you have thought of it as well. Most of us know that some of the commentators for any sport is not at the actual venues but reporting live(or "live") from NYC...even NBC has admitted to it and I have no problem that their anchors and commentators are not in Beijing. Track/field and beach volleyball has sideline reporters wouldn't you have wanted NBC to have one for indoor volleyball especially the way both of our teams were playing in pool play and single elimination play? Hear our players tell us what they thought about the way they played, the team played and about the match before the required press conference? I would or maybe I'm just being an old fart with little sleep during the last two weeks who can't wait for the press release from USAV or an article about the match on the Net.

I thought Sunderland and Barnett were in Beijing? I know they had some girl interview Hugh after the match last night. I'm not sure why they haven't done more with the players and coaches.

I thought Sunderland and Barnett were in Beijing? I'm pretty sure that they ARE there. They've commented on things that they've seen in practices and that they're sitting very high up in the arena.

Maybe Heather Cox, Karch, or Marlowe will head over to help out with the indoor sideline reporting now that the beach is over.

For me, these are the good ones:
Paul Sunderland (great to have him back on nat'l TV) Rowdy Gaines Cynthia Potter Mary Carillo (big ego, but she's a neat lady) All of the Track & Field commentators The 2 guys doing Table Tennis

I do agree with the above...Gaines, Potter(is she the diver commentator) , the track & field guys and Sunderland as good commentators, but Carrillo - love her never get tired of hearing her at Wimbledon and U.S. Open. Slightly rolled my eyes when she mispronounced NANCY CARRILLO'S name...she didn't say Nancy's last name with a Y sound. No big deal everyone makes mistakes.

Forgot to mention Doug Collins from men's basketball in my earlier post of good commentators. Glad he didn't take the Chicago Bulls coaching job because I like his TV work.
