Bush launches last-minute deregulation push White House moves to relax many rules covering private industry The Washington Post updated 4:17 a.m. ET, Fri., Oct. 31, 2008 The White House is working to enact a wide array of federal regulations, many of which would weaken government rules aimed at protecting consumers and the environment, before President Bush leaves office in January. Jeez, would somebody please give him a blow job so we can impeach him. He will go down as the worst President in history, and we all will have to pay for the results for MANY years. The new rules would be among the most controversial deregulatory steps of the Bush era and could be difficult for his successor to undo. Some would ease or lift constraints on private industry, including power plants, mines and farms. Those and other regulations would help clear obstacles to some commercial ocean-fishing activities, ease controls on emissions of pollutants that contribute to global warming, relax drinking-water standards and lift a key restriction on mountaintop coal mining. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27466701

You forgot to mention the new regulation that will be passed that allows every American to take a government-sponsored trip once a year down to the Amazon so that they can burn 100 acres for fun during their annual family vacation.

So let's see if the same Republicans who heavily criticized Clinton for lame duck executive rule-making jump out here and prevent Bush from doing the same.

So let's see if the same Republicans who heavily criticized Clinton for lame duck executive rule-making jump out here and prevent Bush from doing the same. Come on, dude. You already know the answer to that. And people call ME a troll..... I'm waiting to see the list of Presidential pardons in January. Always entertaining, regardless if the outgoing President is Repub or Dem. Of course, some Bush-basher here on VT will decry the audacity of the people that are pardoned and chalk it up to the evil personified that is GWB. These people should research previous Presidential pardons before they launch their attack.

I'm sure Senator Stevens in Alaska is hoping for a pardon, but I doubt he'll get one. At least I hope not.
