The story itself is unremarkable, I don't even know why they bothered even trying to cover it. At this point it's heresay and nothing is even confirmed whether this woman actually is the aunt that Obama writes about in his memoir, and if she actually is here illegally or not.
What I found most interesting are the comments and their overall tone. If you read alot of them, people are almost fanatical about Barack Obama, change in the federal government, and Obama's ability to create that change. They will muster up and defend him at even the tiniest hint of negative press. They remind me of the fans of a professional sports team - extreme behavior either positive or negative. Team does well, the fans are riding a collective high. Team does mediocre or has a bad season, the fans are calling for firing the head coach, trading away all the players, or taking out mafia hits on the team ownership.
Now, I don't like Obama and most certainly won't vote for him. However, if he wins next Tuesday, which all indicators tell us he will, I am willing to give him his opportunity to run this country and do the things he said he will do. I don't believe he will, but I will at least give him his whole term as President to prove me wrong. What will all the crazy fans/supporters/zealots of his movement towards change do when they find that the change isn't happening, or isn't happening as fast as they expected? In those cases, I will truly worry for the man. As fanatical as these people are in his favor right now, they will be equally fanatical in a negative way if he does not deliver on the platform he is running on that will likely earn him the White House on Nov. 4.
Read the comments below the story from the link I posted. These people really scare me. Some of you butt-tards on this forum fall into this same boat and you all need to take a chill pill.
