"There's no guarantee for my women's soccer coach, which is on its way to the Women's Final Four next weekend," Swarbrick said. "We sit down and evaluate every program the same way at the end of the season. We look at a host of factors, from graduation rate to GPA, and we ask how can we make things better. That's the way we do it.
Not vb related but it cracked me up. What do you think the womens soccer coach thought when he read this?

I think most of the coaches are very solid and secure,
EXCEPT Weis.
They have to find a conference for football. I don't know when the contract runs out for TV
None of the other sports matter for them.
Poor Charlie!

Is this the same AD who fired Tyrone Willingham using the excuse...and I'm paraphrasing...
"The Notre Dame football program was as good as anyone could hope from Sunday through Friday. We just wanted to see more results on Saturday."
Willingham was 28-20 as ND's head coach and outside that record, running as quality and integrity-filled a program as you can. Can someone say...double standard?

IF they ever join a conference I'd assume Big East since that's where a lot of their teams are...although I would like them to play in the Big 10.

I think they have a new AD. And Willingham was fired from his next job, at the university of washington after a winless campaign. It's funny how in football, every year you get the "hot" coach who comes out of nowhere. Sometimes they move on, and sometimes they stay where they are, but they always seem to cash in. And they always seem to slide right back down. You can pick a team/coach just about every year.
I think the AD is trying to backtrack, since 2 weeks ago he said he was comfortable with Weiss's performance. But that was before the Syracuse meltdown.
Add into that the BC shutout loss, the fight last night, and another embarrassing loss, and he has to be gone.

I say leave him there through the end of his contract. He is the face (and body) of Notre Dame football.

Super young men are passing up the ND program particially because parents don't have a way of following the team (say like Big 10) and they haven't won or contended for 20 years. Winning breads winning.
Notre Dame has won the Independet Conference how many times now?

Actually, winning bread is what it's all about....

I've got a breadmaker that makes winning whole wheat bread in 3.5 hours. However, if I use the Fast Bake option, it makes bread in an hour. It's sweeter than normal whole wheat but that's what you get when the process is hastened to 1-hr. But it's still delicious.

I sure hope Weis stays. That decided schematic advantage ND has over every other offense in America is awesome. Weis pulled off the greatest con in sports history. How he fooled anyone into thinking he was a good coach, is beyond me, but ND deserves what they are getting. I think it's something like 1-18 against teams that finish with winning records.

You know, if you closely look at touchdown Jesus he doesn't look very happy...I think he's throwing his arms up in disappointment rather than joy of a score.

I enjoy watching Notre Dame football get shellacked on Saturdays. So, I hope and pray that Weis stays.
