The sick and sad thing is, some people that hear/read about these types of cases will still want a chimpanzee as a "family member".

Unfortunately, the chimp ate the wrong person to remove her genes from the gene pool. Then again, maybe she never had children? One can hope.
My favorite Darwin winner was a guy who tried unsuccessfully three time to "bust a cap" into someone else. He then looked down the barrel to try and see what was wrong and pulled the trigger...
