The NPR program "Wait Wait, don't tell me..." stated this weekend that the Chrysler headquater building in Auburn Hills, Michigan was designed so that it could be converted to a shopping mall if Chrysler didn't survive. They cited Business Week in their assertion.
One panelist said that is was too bad the retail market sucks too. Some one else said they should have designed it to be converted into a Toyota dealership.
Don't know if the story is true but it is kind of thought provoking.

Chrysler will survive at least another eight years courtesy of the American taxpayer. The socialist government in power will throw as much of the taxpayer's hard earned money into a failed business model as it takes to pay back the UAW.
The government now controls business and the unions control government.

Wait, wait, don't tell me is a GREAT show. Also on last week's show, one of the panalists suggested that they sell advertising on the back of pink slips. www.npr.org/programs/waitwait/

I heard on the news OBAMA wants the building for low income housing.
taking a symbol of capitalism and turning it into a commune.
I dont think we can blame that on BUSH.

But it "feels" better when you blame it on Bush.
