Welcome everyone to Volley Talk: a message forum for the fans, by the fans. As you post and read this collegiate season, please keep in mind that the players, coaches, and fellow posters are real people. Volleyballs' community is a small, tight-knit one. You probably know several people that you're reading their anonymous comments about. For those of you new to the forum, welcome. Please don't be skeptical to post, even if blow hards like GrandsonofBBob might take a shot at you... shrug it off. If your program isn't represented here, it's because someone isn't brave enough to post. You'll probably also find that posts like his have their place as well. About the moderators: You won't see or hear much from us. If you do it's because you either need help, did something really wrong, or I have a tidbit of advice or information to offer. Speaking of moderators, we could use a little more help. I do what I can and have a few tools to monitor the forum, but as Volley Talk grows more popular I am unable to keep up with all the tasks. If you feel that you'd be a good help, please send me a PM or Email and briefly tell me why. Moderator tasks are simply to flag or move threads as they get out of hand. It's surprising to see Volley Talk will be seven years old this season. Users, readers, and pageviews are at all-time highs heading into the 2009 season. It is a tribute to the growing popularity of volleyball and social networking that this is true. It's a tribute to you, reading this. Have fun this 2009 season! Attachments:

ODIN:
Thanks to you and others involved for the hard work, time and effort involved in keeping this such a great website. I can't tell you the countless hours I've spent on this site, especially when the season is underway. Great job!
Thanks.

Could someone please tell me how to put in posts those happy faces ? Instead of using the "quick reply" space at the bottom of the page, click the "Reply" button on the right side directly below the last post. That takes you to a bigger reply page with all the smiley faces, font colors, etc.

Have fun!

Thanks for your answer to maplespear - I learned something new as well. I always wanted to know how people make a box around previous posts to refer to them in a new post? Is it in the same place only use the attachments part?

Thanks for your answer to maplespear - I learned something new as well. I always wanted to know how people make a box around previous posts to refer to them in a new post? Is it in the same place only use the attachments part? Most just use the quote button at the top of each post. Also, just clicking on other buttons in the "add tags" section will give you the formatting and commands necessary to modify things. Simple html commands for the most part.

Speaking for the beach crowd, which has grown incredibly since I've joined this site and would definitely back me, I believe I would make an excellent mod....I have past experience moderating beach volleyball sites...I was personally named for the downfall of the AVP's forum site by the VBGod guy....I think that alone makes me a front runner for consideration....thanks in advance...
