Big high school match and the home team had it's freshmen work the lines, not even JV. Every close call goes the home teams way until finally one of the lines women gets hit in the foot. She gestures in, then after screams go up, she gestures out (probably got confused). The ref motions in, then when the visiting team (of course the one I'm rooting for) screams, he points to the line person. Only time I saw the visiting coach get a card, or even get close to one.

No worries... This is just a statement to all low-life volleyball officials/staff that take their so called "job" too seriously and punish the players and kids who are being hurt by this ego trip. nothing is taken personally, heck this is just a message board, and FYI, It was at a UH Volleyball match. With numerous college/highschool/club coaches just hanging out and letting loose. Maui... you must be familiar with Mr. Yasak. Cool official. He officiated one of my matches.. tries to be professional but its obvious that his lifestyle does not revolve around professionalism. He did our captains meeting and he seemed as if his mind drifted away while he was talking then apparently got lost and repeated some stuff twice. Our team joked around about it and was like why can't he just be himself. Just another scenario (based on a true story): What if you had a juniors team in Maui, and you and your team traveled to Oahu for a tournament and you only had 6 players. At the tournament you were told that one of your players cannot play because of a golf ball sized bleach stain on a players shorts or black jersey. (this has happened to many teams with other tiny things) Do you honestly think that this is right for the officials to do? Let me mind you that the opposing coach doesn't mind but the officials wouldn't let your team play. Now that's bad officiating! Okay cool about being a UH game... Yes I definitely do know Mr. Yasak! If I'm not mistaken I think he's the head of the Maui officials...whatever their organization is called...because he's one of the refs we see every game! But regarding your scenerio yes I definitely agree as well, as long as the other team is okay with it, jus let the kids play!
