Makes sense, but I think she really likes being an assistant and did not enjoy her 1 year interim experience as HC. She's had many offers before...she likes where she is and what she does. Maybe she wants to retire down there so her mom (who lives with her) can see the rest of the family more often.

Can someone tell me what coaching experience Karch has other than the last few months with the National Team, and BTW, how did he get that job? I know, great player, but how does that qualify him to coach? Patti Bright, Elaine Michaelis, Chuck Erbe, Marilyn McReavy, Dixie Grimmett, (I know I'm forgetting some legends) and now Andy. Dave Shoji and Kathy Gregory - last of the group. Might have to break out my AIAW Natl. Championship programs and reminisce. Those were the days, my friend.... Time to get new blood in this sport!

Maybe Mike Sealy was waiting for this opening when he turned down LMU's offer. (I still say he looks like "Michael Vaughn" of "Alias.") Not if Kim Jagd has anything to say about that! She is definitely the front-runner. Unless they're looking at someboody else. I think the rest of the Pac 10 would endorse that hire.

I can't believe Bancahowski retired before his college coach: Al Scates!! Amen to that! What about the possibility of a J. Cook trading schools with his daughter, she's now at NU, he heads to Westwood? Just a wild idea... ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) It take a weird mind turn to go that way, of course I thought of it too and spoke to a friend who also thought of it. I speak to many strange people.

If UCLA is hiring someone on the cheap as was suggested earlier than Sealy could be an option. They would have to pay up for an established head coach. Jon Stevenson and Jon Wallace were more attractive candidates a few years ago. They have both underacheived in the last few years.

Karch Kilary or Paula Weisoff if they are both interested. Big names. Can't go wrong with either, although Paula does have more coaching experience, but Karch has bigger ego, IMHO.
