Ok, I admit, I expected beach photographs with half naked men when I clicked on this thread...
But, the getty pictures with the shadows - those are awesome! They look like something digitally created. (As opposed to a feasibly possible shot.)

You all will enjoy perusing this site that contains photos from many past years' championships. If the link doesn't take you directly to the M-VB photos, type "Men's Volleyball" in the site's search window and it'll take you to them. These are two examples, but there are many more. That aging Hawaii photo is priceless. archive.ncaaphotos.com/Search/SearchResults.aspx?sm=Basic&All=men%27s+volleyball&x=0&y=04 MAY 1996: Hawaii's Sivan Leoni (10, right) prepares to spike the ball to the UCLA side of the court during the Division1 Men's Volleyball Championship in Pauley Pavilion at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. UCLA defeated Hawaii by winning three of the five game series Paul George holding the '06 trophy, with Eric Chaghouri and Ryan Ratelle and Sean O'Malley

Big Girl in the Middle has some photos of the recent US Men's team scrimmages at: www.biggirlinthemiddle.com/PS: I found the post on the PrepVolleyball.com on the infrequently visited Boy's Discussion Area. Most of the posts in this area are from me (middle82).

One more reason to not like BYU... they are Ford fans. What the hell is #8 going to do with that wrench and is that garbage can positioned like that on purpose?? #17, you're holding a volleyball, not a carburetor. By the way, though. I do appreciate the originality. Actually they are not Ford fans and he used that wrench to smash in the windows immediately following the photo shoot...probably...

That 004 campaign was really a good one. They had all the various tuxedo posters up around campus. When they announced their names at games they also would say the last name first such as, "Moreno, Carlos Moreno." It was a pretty cool theme for the national championship year.

I thought the gimmick theme posters stopped in high school.... at least for male sports?
